Suicide

By July 10, 2019May 15th, 2024No Comments

Even the word suicide has become taboo in our society, but the reality is that suicide remains the leading cause of death for Australians aged between 15 and 44. Situations such as depression and anxiety, the breakdown of a relationship, retrenchment/unemployment or other mental conditions can all lead to a person attempting to end their own life.

If you have attempted to take your own life, it is important to seek medical attention as soon as possible. Trained medical professionals can support you and explain resources that you can access to help you stay safe.

If you feel that you are getting to the point that suicide is appealing, please get help immediately. With over thirty years of experience as a Professional Psychologist, Margaret McDonald offers you a friendly non-judgmental environment to talk through your worries. To arrange an appointment, please call our office on 3862 8833 or email reception@mmcdonald.com.au.

If you require urgent help, please phone the ambulance on 000.
