Grief and loss are a universal, intrinsic element of the human experience. Every culture, every society has rituals and beliefs surrounding death and that have been nurtured and continued for generations. Grief and loss are not the sole domain of death however but is in response to change of any kind. Many people find that they experience grief at the end of a relationship, after losing a job or after miscarriage or infertility.

There are many theories on grief, and an experienced counsellor can help you identify which grieving style makes the most sense of your experience. They can then guide you through the processes, helping you come out the other end richer for the experience.
