WorkCover and 3rd Party Psychological Injuries

By July 10, 2019 No Comments

Over the last couple of years there has been a steady rise in psychological injuries, being reported and treated through WorkCover. This recognition of injuries extending past the physical has been a tremendous breakthrough, and a great step towards getting people back to work.

Psychological injury can result from workplace bullying, witnessing or experiencing a significantly distressing incident or workplace stress. All of these things can lead to a greater number of sick day, less productivity and a decline in morale. WorkCover recognises that these factors are a detriment to the employee personally, and to the employer and their business.

Margaret McDonald is experienced in handling WorkCover claims. With over 30 years experience, Margaret can help pinpoint the cause of the psychological injury, and work with the client and WorkCover to a satisfactory solution. If you feel you would benefit from help in this area please don’t hesitate to phone our office on 3862 8833 or email reception@mmcdonald.com.au.
